Mail2World and GDPR Compliance

Today, May 25, 2018, the European Union’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) officially went into effect.  The GDPR EU legislation requires stronger data protection and digital privacy policies from any company that manages personal data. In anticipation, Mail2World spent the last year ensuring that all of our data processing activities, systems, and policies are compliant with the new regulations.

As part of our internal process, the Mail2World teams reached out to GDPR security experts, who conducted a comprehensive GDPR audit and gap assessment that included an analysis of our systems, processes and services data flows. In order to ensure compliance, the Mail2World team reviewed and confirmed our data, privacy and cookie policies so that they are clear, concise and transparent regarding our corporate protocol for processing personal data.

As the GDPR regulation applies to all companies that do business with European customers/partners, the legislation provides important rules for users to have greater control over their personal data.  As the EU and other government agencies continue to review the management of personal data, GDPR may be the first stage in a series of EU rule-changes that may include E-Privacy Regulation and Electronic Communications Codes.  As an industry leader, Mail2World will continue to ensure the highest level of data security and government compliance for our customers’ personal data.

If you have any questions about Mail2World’s new policy changes or its GDPR compliance in general, please don’t hesitate to email the Mail2World team at support@mail2World.com.
