Nearly all the functionality that Mail2World supports can be extended through our Web service. Mail2World email Services can be communicated via any system through our APIs using remote calls, thereby enabling third parties to perform standard functional interfacing.
Mail2World’s technology enables partners and customers to design and configure messaging components using both http and REST APIs to incorporate their overall look and feel into the online platform. Our flexible email architecture further allows a customer to seamlessly integrate Mail2World messaging technology into their existing environment (e.g., provisioning, customer support, billing and social applications).
The Mail2World Communications Email Platform™ (Message Store) is exposed to third-party developers via a REST API, which provides a simple, standard W3C protocol for reading and writing data over the Internet. To prevent unauthorized use of the APIs, IP restrictions may be configured to limit the source IP of the calling server.
Mail2World’s Webmail and Mobile Email interface pages offer many branding options including: logos, skins, email footer tagline, banners, terms of service, copyright footer, system generated messages, URL and service names for IMAP, POP, SMTP and WAP.
Inherent in the application architecture are multilingual capabilities that allow the email interface be presented in various languages. The Web site is dynamically rendered in the language specified by the domain or the user. For a new language to be implemented, a single file is translated and uploaded to the language database. When the Web servers are restarted, the new language is loaded into server memory and is immediately available.
Mail2World works closely with our customers to define the transition events and precise timing of the sequential steps so the migration is seamless and transparent to users. A smooth migration from an existing email service to Mail2World’s email platform is achieved by rapidly adapting all user settings, email data and configurations from the existing service into the Mail2World hosted email service.
Migration data consists of several optional sections. For example, Mail2World will ingest all user static information through comma-delimited files and use the standard IMAP protocol to pull all user email messages and folder data from the existing email service. Mail2World’s email migration platform is able to run as many migration programs as required to pull the data off within agreed upon project timelines. Programmatic API calls from your company to Mail2World can be used for soft migration. In addition, Mail2World is able to set priority migration for users who login to the Webmail and/or mail client during the migration process.
